I infiltrated Soviet military bases and brought the fight to the Russians. Each new memory I unlocked furthered the overarching conspiracy I was embroiled in. The gameplay stuck closely to the tried and true Call of Duty formula that fans had come to love with its fluid gunplay and cover shooting mechanics. However, Treyarch also added some creative new twists like controlling attack dogs to maul enemies or piloting various vehicles on certain missions. I really enjoyed the variety of locales and time periods featured throughout the campaign which helped keep things feeling fresh. Multiplayer was where I spent most of my time though. The maps were very well designed with different terrain types and sightlines to suit every playstyle. I enjoyed the fast-paced action of playing objective-based modes like Domination or the classic Team Deathmatch for some run and gun action. Zombies mode was also endlessly replayable as me and my friends tried to survive increasingly difficult waves of the undead.
